Paragraph 1:
http://studentfriends.edublogs.org/2010/01/12/strays-on-the-street/
It's so sad to see dogs and cats on the street that are victims of abuse sickness and neglect. I am an animal lover so I get really worked up when I hear about animals that are being put to sleep because there is no room for them in shelter facilities. I think that is so inhumane and cruel. Every animal has a right to life whether there is space for them or not, and all animals need a loving home. A few years ago I helped raise money for the ASPCA, and I am thinking of doing that in the future.
Paragraph 2
If I was in control of the International Blog site, I would ask people their opinions on Private High Schools Vs. Public High Schools. I think its a very interesting topic because of the pros and cons of both. It'd be cool to see what people's feedback would be on one the other or both. Then if they thought private or public had more to offer for students. Also, if private or public had better academics, athletics, etc, would be an interesting thing to find out.
Third Paragraph
Two things I learned doing the Blog Challenge were how to insert images and hyperlinks into posts. I never knew how to do anything fancy like that, and it's a good resource and will probably be helpful in the future. I also learned that reaching out to people in other parts of the country and world is fun and learning about them and their opinions is too.

If I lived back then and I was going to settle somewhere I 'd choose Rhode Island. It had the most religious freedom out of any of the other English colonies. Thats definitly something I would want. Rhode Island also has a very stable and just government. If I lived in Rhode Island I would be close to Newport, a major trade center for jewelry, silverware, textiles and clothing.

If I won a Golden Ticket to anywhere in the world, I would visit Santorini. Actually it be like going back to Santorini, because I was there this summer. It was amazing and it was my favorite port of call on my Italy/ Greece cruise. I want to go back because it was beautiful and I love the Mediterranean. I think I would bring Lexie with me because she is so fun to travel with. We would definitly go sometime in the summer, but not August because its the peak tourist season. We would fly out of Newark Airport to Athens on the mainland. Then from there we'd board another plane and land at the Santorini National Airport. I think just going to Santorini and expiriencing the Greek culture, and seeing the breath taking views off the cliffs of the island would be an awesome experience.
Welcome to Santorini Retrieved 16 December 2009 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3503/3945965794_5b9006f40c.jpg

This year I hope to improve as a blogger by blogging more often. Blogging is a way to express yourself, and also to show your personal feelings and opinions. I want to try to blog about more things, for example not just books and hobbies. I think its really interesting to be able to learn about other student bloggers from around the world and see what they're doing and what interests they have. I want to take advantage of that opportunity too.

I think the English won because they had alot more people, power and land settlements than the Spanish did. What might have been different if the Spanish had won would be the influence of their culture on the US. Obviously, there would be alot more Spanish people and Spanish speaking people in our country today. Our heritage as a country would be the same or very similar to Spain's. If England had not won the Revolutinary War would not have existed, and there would be no fight for an independent country. Things would have been a lot different.

My favorite horse series, Canterwood Crest is my new book- obsession. (I love these books!) I first read about the author, Jessica Burkhart, in a Young Rider magazine article, and heard the 22 year old just started writing and has already received many awards for her books. Canterwood Crest is an All Equestrian middle school in Connecticut with a reputation for winning. The series goes through the early years of Sasha Silver’s life at Canterwood, fitting in, friends, and new rivalries from other extremely competitive riding schools. The books are really interesting, and are very suspenseful and addicting. When I read Book # 1, Take the Reins, I could'nt put it down! I really like how the series is going so far. I recently finished book four, and can’t wait until I can get the next one, Best Enemies, which came out on October 20th. The series will have 8 books, and I plan on reading all of them. I highly recommend this series to anyone who is fluent in horse knowledge, and is interested in any kind of fun, high energy story.

My comment on Luke's blog from Tasmania, Australia would be...
I actually like cooking too. My Dad is always teaching me ways to make simple meals that are quick and easy. Lately, I've found baking cookies to be really fun. Chef school is a good place to go if you don't want to pursue something in college. You can get a good job at an expensive restaurant where you're paid really well.
Next I'd like to comment on Allira from Australia's blog about tattooing.
I used to want a tattoo also, but now I really don't. It would be annoying to me because the colors would not match what I wore all the time. Secondly i am not that kind of person with tattoos and piercings everywhere. And last I wouldn't want a tattoo because my blood would be contaminated with ink, so if someone in my family needed a blood transfusion, I wouldn't be able to give it to them.

Knowledge of the past can be lost for multiple reasons. It is true that the discoveries the Indian civilizations made are quite extraordinary. Especially for that time when there was literally nothing. Knowledge is knowledge. You may know it as a fact for a short time, then it might dissappear to the back of your head. Knowledge is lost because not much attention is payed to it. Also because at the time of the Indians, there were no written records of the Indian's lifestyle, culture or beliefs. The Early Europeans probably did not have to time to contemplate the "inventions" of civilizations like the Aztecs or Mayas. They didn't know anything about the New World where the civilizations began, and until Columbus, they did not even know it existed. What Early Europeans did not know, is that knowledge of the past is important because it shapes the future.

I am extremely spontaneous and very talkative. I absolutely love eating peanut butter out of the jar. I dont know if other people are like that too or if its just me... but I love peanut butter! I never wear jeans at home. I just dont like it. That used to be all I ever wore, but the only time I wear them anymore is to the mall or a friend's house. I'm all about being comfortable. I love meditation music. Like Enya and Kiiran are my favorites. I think its so relaxing, and it just heals your soul. I listen to them a lot. I've never had a true favorite color. My "likings" basically change every couple weeks. 2 weeks ago it was navy blue, but this week I've moved on to hydraulic purple. Last I am insanely good at picking things up with my toes. Even small things like pennies and what not. My friends think its just weird but I actually think its pretty cool.
