Spring Break

I had a great spring break. I went to Extra Innings baseball camp. I had two baseball practices and one game. I read three books. I forgot to tell you that I won my game 7-3. That is my spring break at a glance.

Mountain School

I got back from Mountain School a few weeks ago. I would like to tell you what happened while I was there. First we went on a two hour bus ride to get to muntain shool. Next we met up and were told where our lodges were. After we had settled in, we went on a hike with our group. My group was the Wolverines. We stayed for two nights and three days. On the second day, my group got to walk across Diablo dam. The dam was three hundred and sixty-eight feet high. It was amazing! The food was realy good there. We had all kinds of yummy meals. I can't decide which one I liked best.On the second day, after dinner, My class went on a hike in the dark. We saw the whte deer! There are only a few in the world! That is some of the stuff that I did while I was at mountain school.

This is a wierd way to do division so you can learn how to do long division.

Kids On Campas

Today I went to kids on campas. That is a feild trip where all of the fifth graders go to a high school and get to see praformances of all the fine arts. They include choir, orchestra, and jazz band. My favorite was orchestra because I thought it sounded the best. Right now i do strings, so I will be as good as them some day. I play the violin. That is what I thoght about kids on campas.

The Boston Tea Party

Hi, I am starwars and I am going to tell you all about the Boston Tea Party. Why did the colonists want to dump all the tea? The colonists wanted to dump the tea because Parliament had passed taxation without representation. Taxation without representation
is when the colonists did not get to vote for the new tax laws. First came the stamp act. This made the colonists have to pay extra tax on everything made out of paper. Next came the sugar act. This tax law made the colonists have to pay extra tax on all kinds of things, like sugar, paper, glass, and stuff like that. Last came the tea act. This law made the colonists have to pay extra tax on tea. This made the colonists verry angry. So they disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians and borded the ships that were carying crates of tea. That cold December night the colonists dumped hundreds of crates of tea. The tea that they dumped would be worth over a million dollars today. That is what happened at the Boston Tea Party.

I had a verry fun weekend. I went to my Aunt and Uncle's house and spent the night. I went to Barnes and Noble and got a Star Wars book. I also got to play a star wars game on X-box. I also saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenex. I had a fun, enjoyable weekend.

I am starwars and I am reading the Spiderwick Chronicles right now. There are five books. i am on the third one right now. So far they are pretty good. I am reading the books because two people recomended them to me and because there is a movie coming out of the five books put together and I would feal bad watching the movie if I hadn't read the books yet. I am starwars and right now I am reading Eragon. The author is Christopher Paolini. Right now I am on page 575. I think it is a very good book. Right now in the book Eragon, Murtagh, Saphira, and Arya have made it to the Varden, but the Varden are taking too much time interrogating Eragon and Murtagh, so Arya will probably die from the poison that Durza gave her. That is what is happening in Eragon right now.

Here is one of the ways that I know how to solve complex subtraction problems. I will show you an example.
912-899
First I will subtract the 800 from the 900 to get 100. Next I will take the 99 from the 100 to get 1. Finally I will add the 12 to the 1 to make 13. 13 is my answer. That is one of the ways that I can subtract numbers.

Eragon

I am reading a book caled Eragon. I is realy good. My favorite charactor is Saphira. Saphira is a dragon. In the part where I am Brom and Eragon were just attacked by Urgals. Eragon used magic to knock out all twelve Urgals. Brom is really mad at Eragon for not killing the Urgals because Brom had to hunt down all the Urgals because they saw Eragon and Saphira. The three that escaped are telling lots of people about Eragon and Saphira. That is what is happening in Eragon right now.

I am star wars and I would like to tell you some things that I am thankful for. I am thankful for my warm, dry, house. I am also thankful for good books, my family, and school. I would also like to tell you some of my Thanksgiving traditions. I am starwars and I am liking all these early release days. It is giving me time to do things in the afternoon that I don't usally get to do. One of the things I am going to do later is go shopping for new shoes. I like the early realeases also because the homework is reading for sixty minutes. Those are some reasons why I like the early realeases.

I like school. I like to go to the library every day. I like to go outside if it is not raining. I like to play with my friends at recess. Some of my friends are Legolas, Frodo, and Eragon. I am starwars and I am going to tell you some thing s about bats. Bats do not depend on their eyes. They use echolocation. They make high-pictched screeches that are so high-pithed that we can not here them. The biggest bat is called the flying fox. They have a six foot wingspan and weigh two pounds. Vampire bats bite animals like cows, pigs, and chickens by biting a little hole in the leg of the animal, and then they lap up the blood with thier tongue. The smallest bat is called the bumble bee bat and it is only a couple of inches wide and weighs about the same as a penny. That is most of what I know about bats.

I am starwars and Veterans day was a few days ago. At school we had a realy big assembly and on Monday there was no school. I like Veterans day because there is no school. My Great Gandpa, my mom, and lots of my cousins are veterans. My mom was a medic stationed in Germany. My Great Grandpa was in the Navy. A lot of my cousins are in the Air Force.

Catapults

I am going to talk about the stuff we have been doing in science with catapults. We have been changing a lot of variables. We only change only one variable at a time so we can have a controled experiment. The variables we have been changing are, angle of release, length of flipper, and size of foil ball. We are measuring how high and far our foil ball goes. We are in groups of three. We are also flinging little corks with our catapults. That is how my class is learning about catapults.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Poenix

I am star wars and I just started Harry Potter 5. So far I think it is really good. I like how Harry gets attacked at the beginning by two dementors. I will probobly find out what the Order of the Phoenix is today. The Order of the phoenix is a secret organization of witches and wizards that are working together to stop the dark lord Voldemort. I am now on page 300 and somthing. The book is starting to get good. I think Professor Umbridge is evil. I hope she lets the Grifindor teem keep going.

I have been useing my flashdrive to do my homework. I have writen two stories and saved them on my flashdrive. My dad thinks it is crazy that we have to have a flashdrive for a school supply. I think this whole thing is very hi-tech.

Prime and Composite

At the beginning of the year I thought prime was just another way to say odd. Now I know that prime means the number can only be made into one array. At the beginning of the year I had never even heard of composite numbers. Now I know that composite numbers are numbers that can be made into more than one array. That is what I have Learned this this year about prime and composite numbers.

I just started reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. So far I think it is very confusing. It just keeps discribing the Riddle House Were thee people died in one night. One of them was said to be the Dark Lord Voldemort. But I don't believe it. I think this will be a very good book.

Now that we know all about pendulems, I want to tell you some of the things that I learned. I learned that if you have long string you dont get as many swings in 15 seconds. If you have shorter string you get more swings in 15 soconds. That is what I have learned about pendulem swings.

I chose the name star wars because I have liked star wars since I was one year old! I also started my lightsaber training when I was one.
Once, when I was five years old I got my picture in the newspaper for liking star wars so much! I also got my picture in a magazine. Now I am in fifth grade and I still like star wars.
