On Thursday We had a trackmeet feild trip and we all got signed to something like shotput,2 laps,75 meter dash,running long jump,and 50 meter dash.I did the 200 Its half a lap and I got 2nd place and my time was 35 seconds!! And our school got 1st place out of all!!

Well First It was friday and I went to my dads house for 3 days then from there we went to the movies and I saw Indiana Jones!!!! Then I went to My friend Taryns house and then we played rock band and Saw Narnia prince caspian! yeah thats it bye

In 1662 King Charles granted a charter to Connecticut colony giving the colonist the rights to make their own laws (Speare, 70). Assemblies elected by the colonists make laws set tales, and raised companies of troops called military to defend the colonies (Carter, 8) 1687, King James wanted British parliament to make laws for the colonists (Speare, 70).
In 1765, british parliament could make laws for the colonists. The king needed to pay for the French and Indian war so he made laws to tax the colonists (Harcourt, 266)
The king started the sugar, act in 1764 (Harcourt, 272).
“This tariff angered the colonists. But what bothered them most was that they had had no part in making this tax law” (Harcourt, 272). The king and British parliament all had say in passing the laws. “Unlike other British citizens, the colonists could not elect law makers… but parliament was quick to remind colonists they were British subjects.” (Harcourt, 263)
The stamp act was another blow to the colonists democratic ideals. The colonists had been practicing self government, separate from the king for years (Harcourt, 263). They collected their own taxes to pay for services in the colonies (Carter, 8).
The stamp act of 1765 was another attempt by parliament to get the war dept. “The new tax laws angered the people in the colonies” (January,6). The stamp act required colonists to pay for a stamp (to show they paid the tax) On all paper goods like newspaper, mail, cards, normal paper.
“ Parliament added these new laws to show they could still make laws for the colonists” (Harcourt, 277). The stamp act congress met to get the act repealed. James Otis said the famous quote “No taxation without representation”(Harcourt, 274). These British laws were directly opposed to the self government. The colonists had been practicing for over 100 YEARS!
The colonists did not get to elect representatives into British parliament. “They did not have any say in the tax laws they were being forced to pay. The king made a third law that angered the colonists, the tax on tea, 1773. The colonists believed in democracy” (Harcourt, 263). The colonists were not represented in British parliament and believed the only way to ensure their rights was to fight for them. The colonists dressed up as Indians and went down to the water (Maestro, 7) to dump all the tea into the water to prove a point of there freedom.
The colonists were British citizens living in America. When their rights were being trampled by the sugar by the sugar act, the stamp act, and the tax on tea, they first appealed to the king and parliament. When that didn’t work they protested. Eventually the rally cry of “No taxation without representation.” “The congress sent an appeal for peace and Harmony to king George that parliament get rid of all the un-constitutional laws controlling America” (Schanzer, 27). Would lead the colonists to fight for their freedom. The colonists wanted a true represented government.
In 1776, in the revolutionary war, British colonists fight Britain for the right to become American citizens and be truly free.

Hello Everybody in our class we are reading a book called Witch of Blackbird Pond! It was staring in 1687! It is all about a girl named Kit (Kathrine) who lost her parents and grandparents and now she is on her way to her aunts house in Weathersfield and Kit is rich she has a lot of clothes and one very special doll when she was on the boat on the way to her Aunt Rachels house she was looking over the boat then she dropped her doll of the boat then she jumped in to get the dolly and she got her clothes wet but then One of the sailors jumped in the water to save her cause he thought she couldnt swim but sje was borin in Barbados so she can swim! when she got back on the boat and she said dont worry i got more clothes but the salior said well i only have one and im wearing them! so u can tell she is very rich! So far this book is really good! cant wait to finish it!

On spring break I went to my fathers house ti was super! and I had a cheer compatition and we won 1st place!yeAH=http://!!! and that was pretty much all i did and oh yeah yeah um i sprained my finger and foot! it sucked!!!!it was a pretty boring spring break but i t was fun to i dont know why though??? that was my boring spring break!

Soooooo!!! we went to mountian school on Monday and we got back yesturday! It was so cool i loved Mountian schoolm we learned really fun songs, went on hikes speaking of hike our lodge group went on a night hike in the woods on a trail and we all sat in a circle then I turned aroung and like a couple feet away I noticed something white and I was getting kinda freaked out then when I looked back again I saw it there again and I was just thinkning that it wasw my night vision cause we had no flashlight no light and then sunny looked back and saw the same thing so sabrina, goldilocks,and taryn looked back behind them and they saw something behind them and sabrina looked infront of her and she thought something was moving tree to tree and I got really freaked out that the scardy cat came out of me and I got tears in my eyes yeah so when we were going back to our lodge we looked and it was a WHITE DEAR!!!
AND THAT WAS THE END IT WAS SUPER DUPER FUN!!!

Dear Mom and Dad,
I Suggest that we should go to Alaska Because The Iditorad happens in Alaska and why Alaska? Because it is snowy there, and Alaska Is HUGE!!! And also very cold because I also like the cold I don’t know why but I do!
The history of the race is cause Nome was very sick and he needed medicine.
The weather in Alaska could be snowy, cold and sometimes very warm to.

Today we had a feild trip to one of our high schools! we went to go see band, Choir, and Orchestra and my favorite subject was Band!!! it was so cool there were like 30 or something like people in the band! and it was awesome they had drums flutes trumpets guitars and a piano! nad they played a spanish song it was so cool you could feel the floor vibrating=http:// and it was so loud!!!

We are learning about frendship and bullying what I learned is that Kid B would be pucnching and kicking maybe even saying rude things to kid T and if kid S sees the bullying going on he has to wait till the bullying is over then he can report witch is telling someone if the bullying is still going on!

The Father GOOSE that had 2 WIVES
One bright and early morning there once was a father goose and his WIFE. They saw a pile of LEAVES they decided to jump in then father goose and his wife saw 2 SHEEP there was 2 WOMEN and then father goose and his wife left. The next bright and early day father goose and his seconed wife went for a walk they saw LEAF tracks heading to a big LOAF of bread then father goose said "HOLY MOUSE TEETH!" It was so big that it looked like a giant apple!! Then 2 DEER came galloping over and started to eat the loaf of bread! Then back at the goose pond the first wife was waiting and waiting till father goose and second wife got home and father goose got in trouble! So the 2 wifes left him and now father goose is best friends with WOLFS,MICE and GEESE! And all day they look at there FEET and there TEETH!

In our class we have 2 very special animals! my favorite sports that i like to do are..
well right now the sport that i am doing is cheerleading! we go to cheer fest compatisions and nationals! last year i played the sport soccer! i was on a team called ladybugs! we only lost 1 game and we went to the champion ships and....WE WON! so i miss playing soccer but i like doing cheerleading now! i learned how to do a back walk over, front walkover, back bend,summersault,and now i am learning how to do a front flip!

I finished Skellig and now i am reading Gossip Girl. It is a Show on t.v. and the Author is Cecily Von Ziegesar. I just started today so I am on page 7. But so far it is really discripted! like "She slid her shiny golden purse into her hands". The book is all about a girl named Blair and she goes to a private school and her life is perfect but her worst enemie Serina is back from boarding school and now the revange is back on! and that is where i am at right now!

I just started the book so i am not anywhere yet but i will say what it is about from the blog! It is a Mystery book and what happens is a new boy named Micheal just moved into a new house and the house is huge but when he met his new nextdoor neighbor Mina they travled the house but when he saw his new bedroom he wasnt very imprest! he saw spider webs every where! But right acroos the room he saw some kinda reflection a man,Bird or angle scary huh? well i will tell you more when i get more into the book!

Today We had a veterans day assembly and there where a lot of real veterans there! we sang some songs to the veterans and at the end we had a high schools marching band before and after that we gave poppies and cards to the veterans and at the begging and the end of the assembly we had a slide show of veterans and pictures of kids that go to our school who has a someone who is a veteran

a complement for the class is that i think that we are doing better lining up!and a suggestion for the class is that when we are doing a rotatsions we are getting louder and louder and it goes slower but if we dont talk then it will go faster!

i had a really fun weekend because my friend is doing a something called silver stars! it is a cheering and gymnastics program and when i tried out i made it! and we go to compitisions in like florida and .L.A and oregon!and now i know how to do like back walk over and a back hand spring!

Hi World,
I chosed Violet because the books are really discripted and this book has a lot of mystery and other stuff,and violet is really shy and when i meet new people i get really shy to! and violet has good ideas like me!and i really like the name violet and and violet has a sister and a brother just like me! and that is why i think violet is a good nickname for me!
