Life is Beautiful I really like this movie. I thought it was very clever how Roberto Begnini(?) made it a tragic comedy. This way, it touched the tragedy of the Holocaust, but it was also funny. Although I liked the movie, I thought that sometimes it wasn't very realistic, like when Guido and Giosue were running around the camp, and then Guido spoke into the loudspeaker. If this was in a real concentration camp, Guido would definitely have been shot mercilessly. I also don't think that Giosue would have survived as long as he did if it were a real concentration camp. It would not have been possible to hide for that long from the soldiers. All in all though, I enjoyed Life is Beautiful, mostly because I could learn about the Holocaust and laugh at the same time - which, let me tell you, won't happen too often.
