Ms. Reidy's Fourth Grade

We have been studying the mystery genre for the past several weeks. You have read a wide variety of titles that fit this genre. For this assignment I would like you to share what is your favorite thing about mysteries.

I like when they go on adventures. I like when they get some clues. I like when they find the person who did the crime. I like when the action comes. I like when they solve the case.

I love mysteries because its fun to solve it before they do. It's also fun to read mysteries because you can see how other people can figure out the problem. Maybe even you can solve something.

Mysteries are all about the main problem and the solution. I like A to Z mysteries and the Boxcar Children. Some times they are boring and some are really fun. Some are SCARY. And some are CREEPY. It is sometimes about a bandit or a bird catcher, or maybe even an ALIEN LIFE FORM OR A GHOST OOOOOOOO!!!! BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT A MYSTERIES IS YOU READ THEM. Hate or love them but don't give out the mystery. Don't you dare do that or the GHOST of MYSTERIES will get YOU!

Mysteries are fun. They gives you a little bit of a spook. I like mysteries because they are good solving books. Mysteries make me think about being a detective. It feels like I am in the story with the solver. And I help them solve the case. I like Cam Janson books. Mysteries are the best books to read.

Mysteries make me think. Mysteries are cool because they have problems that you need to solve. The best mysteries I ever read was A to Z mysteries. Do you like A to Z mysteries books? When you are reading mysteries do you think? Mysteries are the best!
