Our Feild Trip

Monday was a terrific day! We had a feild trip to the MaKenzie Art Gallery and the R.C.M.P Heritage Center. It was one of our best feild trips ever!
First we went to the R.C.M.P Heritage Center. It was amazing to see so many exibits from Canada's past. There were things about the First Nations, the N.W.M.P, or North West Mounted Police,Lewis Reil, and much more. We were amazed by the history when we came out.
Now we went to the MaKenzie Art Gallery to look at some amzing sculptures and pictures. There was stuff from present day to the 1800's! There were pictures of outer space and land, sky, and bird's eye view. We did an activity involving art by making a land and sky picture. You would make the land part and your partner would make a sky part. Then you would connect it by joining it so it looks like one picture. Then we had a treat and went home. I loved our feild trip and I hope I can come back soon!

On June the 5th, we had Track and Feild. It was so much fun! I didn't win any ribbons, but I tried. I got injured and I couldn't run the 400m track. I still did the 100m and the 200m. I hated how I couldn't go on the 400m because I trained for it. At the end, we played fireman's relay. It was so much fun and I can't wait for next year!

Taking care of Chicks

Last Monday, we got our chicks. There is 150 of them. It is very hard taking care of chicks because you have to water and feed them in the morning, afternoon, and the evening every day until they die. They also can't get overheated or cold or else they die. Also, you need to watch out for chicken hawks and weasles. If you own a dog or cat, then don't let the chickens get out of the pen. It is nearly impossible for you to not step on one in the time they are chicks but don't worry, they sometimes survive your foot. They eat tin ALOT so you should dull their beaks or else the tin can put holes in their stomachs. I love taking care of chicks but sometimes I just say "NO!".

On Easter break, I had an awsome Easter egg hunt. I got about 10 big yellow eggs. Theere were many eggs with many different colours like purple, blue, red, and striped eggs. There were over 100 eggs hiding around the house. There were so many little eggs. I got an egg with goo in it but I think they overloaded it because when I bit into it, it squirted goo on my chin. It was so much fun doing the Easter egg hunt.
Another thing I did on Easter break was having delicous dinner at my grandparents. We had roast beef, chicken, rice, mashed potatoes, and for desert, ice cream. I love my Nana's cooking because she cooks the chicken for just the right time so that it's moist but not to moist. It was a very good supper.
On the very last day of Easter break, we went to the city. I got a new game for my D.S and Mom got some new glasses. Dad didn't do anything but sleep and drive. Mom got new clothes and a flower for Kieren and by that time, it was time to have supper. So we just ate at Smitty's. I loved being in Regina and being on my Easter break.

On Wendnesday, a man from the the Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina. came to show us some pictures. It was amazing! There was a picture of Queen Elisabeth, a buffalo hunt, a cow that looks like you drive down a road and you see it like you are in the picture, and a picture of the Big Muddy Valley. The man says that there is no right or wrong in art because everybody sees it differently. There were others like a fire and people on a cultivator pulled by 2 horses were making a barrier of dirt so that way the fire couldn't spread to their house.
He also showed us how to draw perspective drawing. We drew a road that looked like it dissapered in the distance. Then we drew power lines beside the road. Then the clouds and finaly the railroad. It was very amazing and I hope to do it again sometime.

My Family Playing Monopoly

2 days ago, I played Monopoly with my family. I had a hotel on Board Walk and Park Place. I owned all the light blues, dark blues, yellows, and reds. My brother had all the railroads, my Mom had all the utillities and greens, and my Dad had all the hours to sleep. I went to jail just in time because I was broke. Thank god Marcus landed on the dark blues and my mother did to because I earned so much money, I bought my way out of jail and landed on Free Parking wich is also known as the jackpot. It is called that because all the taxes of money go into the Free Parking... and there was 4,000 dollars worth of taxes! In the end we needed to make our own paper slits for me because I had about 10,000 dollars. Everybody had less than 1,000 dollars when they landed on Park Place wich meant I won. But just before Mom gave me the $954, my Baby Sister rammed through the Monopoly and moved her peice to "Pass go collect $200" space. I was just happy she still gave me the money.

On February the 18th, I am getting a P.S.3. P.S.3 stands for Play Station 3. This will be so much fun considering my brother owns the XBox 360 and he has control over a lot of our games so it will be nice for me to have some control over the games. The difference is that my brother is six years older than me and if I say no to him playing, he'll kick my but untill it is blue for a week. I am so excited to get my new Play Station 3.

I went up to Saskatoon on Wednesday for a doctors appointment. It took 4 hours to get to Saskatoon and 30 minutes in the doctor's. We woke up at 5am and left by 6am. We made about 4 snack breakes and ate at A&W. My dad stalled and went to Tim Hortans for a drink. Overall it was a good day and that was the last time I can see my doctor.

Have you ever seen a cow with two heads? A finger with no nail? You can see all of this on Ripley's series. I loved that book so much, I read it at least 10 times. The book is about all the weird things in the world. For example, the cow with two heads has both of them eating at the same time! There are other creepy things in there like worlds longest toenails. Everytime I come home and see it, I start to shake and shudder.

My sister is only 2 years and I am getting annoyed. She has 2 cavitys wich mean she can not have juice. I never want her to get another cavity in her life. Next time I will not be with her when she has a cavity. I hope she gets her cavity filled soon!

We are renovating our rooms to try and get our lights into our rooms and we are doing pretty good. First we have to take out the retro fit boxes. Then we take some wire and run it through. Now we just took the new boxes and hooked the wires in. I hope that when we are done we will be able to turn the lights on and off without a problem.

We have gone into another school year and I am not as excited as I am tired. Over the summer, I have spent every day sleeping in untill dinner time and staying awake untill 12 p.m when I fall asleep on the couch. Since I didn't get enough time to get used to going to bed at 9:30 and waking up at 7:00. So now I am paying the price for staying awake to long by sleeping on the bus. But I still think this will be a good school year.

On Friday the 24th we went on a class trip to Coronach. First we saw the Coronach power plant. The Grade 5's and I went in first and the Grade 6's saw a video. We saw the control room. We couldn't go in but from the window it looked like there was about 7 people there. Next we had dinner at a golf course and saw our tour guide for the Buffalow and Turtle Effigees and the Sam Kelly Caves. First we went to see the Sam Kelly Caves. We climbed a realy tall hill that bordered Canada from the United States. Then we went to the Euffalow Effigee and saw a spirit pole. Then we saw a Turtle Effigee and I couldn't tell that the Turtle Effigee looked like a turtle or not. After that we went to the Mini Mart in Coronach. We came home at about 5:30 pm so we missed the bus. I found the trip really exciting and I hope you go on it too.

In health, we have a 5 day assingment to eat better foods. My goal is to eat a better snacks. So far, I am doing really good because on Monday, I had apples and cinomen and on Tuesday I had an orange. We started on Monday and will end on Friday. Our check up day is today. My brother and my mom are suposed to help me, but they aren't helping mutch. When I am done, I will have more vitamins. This assingment is really easy.

My Upside-down Snowman

Did you know you can make an upside-down snowman? I can but it is hard sometimes. Making them can depend on the size and shape of the snowman. For instance, you must make sure the snowman is ballanced. If you can't ballance the snow then you can always just stick it to the ball or make the head huge. Then you have to put the scarve on the bottom because the head is there. Now put the mouth on so that it is a frown. Then put the eyes near the bottom because of the head on the ground. Now put the sticks upside down and now you have an upside down snowman!

We have challenges for our classroom right now. The first one was to tell a story about Telemiracle. This challenge lasted from March 1st to the 4th. The next one was to sing the Roll up the Rim song and it lasted from the 7th to the 11th. The 3rd challenge was to tell a Dr. Seuss story and that lasted from the 13th to the 17th. We also had to tell the story for at least 3-4 minutes. We are doing the last one wich is to preform a magic trick or an illusion. About 3 peple pulled their thumbs off, 1 person repelled pepper in a bowl of water, and 3 people did the magical cards. But I have a magic trick nobody will ever get!

Right now we have to do a Protist assingment. I have to work on Amoeba. It looks as if it is a paint splatter. Amoeba don't have arms or legs like us. They have psuedopods instead (which are kind of like the same thing). You need a microscope to see most of them because they are a one cell organizm. They eat bacteria and plant cells. They get rid of waste through the cell membrane, oxygen goes in and carbon dioxide goes out. It breathes by using the oxygen inside the water. Sometimes I wonder why they say "breathe" when it is inside the water. Amoeba use their psuedopods to move and to change their shape of their body too. I think my amoeba assignment will turn out very very well!

Yesterday Marcus, Mom, Dad, and I all went outside and made snow forts. The rules were every man(and woman)for themself and... there are no more rules! I was the first one to finish my fort for the snowball fight. I hit everybody with snowballs as fast as I could. But I couldn't find Marcus. When I looked behind me, he had a 5 gallon pail with snow in it over my HEAD. I doged the pail and ran to the house. We have a basement being renovated over at the other house where I crawlled down the ladder with 25 snowballs. He pased by and I got him. I won with a score of 98. After we celebrated with hot chocolate. We had a lot of fun in the snow!

On Christmas we opened our presents. I got 2 Wii games, an Itunes gift card, and some new earphones. Marcus got a Xbox game and a pair of socks. Mom and Dad got a drill and wool socks. My Uncle Wane got shoes, socks, and some underwear.
After that we went tobogining. Marcus dared me to slide down a snowhill, go towards the dried out dugout, hit the ledge in there, and land the trick. I did a part of the dare. I actually landed face first into a snowbank. That night, we had hot chocolate and we finnaly went to bed.

On Saturday I will be a new man. I will be kinder then ever. I got the idea when I saw a show where someone was going to die if he didn't change his life around. I figured that would be me in a hospital preparing for a "kidney swap". So I decided to change my life for the better. I knew it wasn't too late. Now I hope I will be fine because I have been hit in the privates alot of times! Now I need the key ingredient, a person in need of help!

Well it seems I just had my last fun Friday a week ago. We went down to my Nana's house and it turned out all of my cousins were there! My cousins Jeneva, Peirce, Kory, Karla, Catlin, and Tj! We had cake and icecream, then we played baseball. After that we played monkey in the middle. After that we said goodbye and went home. I spent as mutch time as I could on the computer. When I was about to go to bed mom told me that the renovations were going to be tough and Fridays were work days so I guess I am done enjoying Fridays. I hope she has fun torturing me!

On Thursday, September 25 we had a bake sale. The money was going to World Vision. Everybody in our class had to bring a baking. We had it for the High School and Elematary. We made $156. We chose to give them a goat, 2 chickens, a rooster, and atibiotics for ten kids. We hope that will be usefull for the family!

On Haloween I got so much candy that my bag over flowed with candy. Travis,his brother Justin,his friend Sean,and I covered all of Bengough except a few houses. Then I covered Harptree by myself.
Then I dumped out my bag at home. There was candy sticks,sukers,rockets,popcorn bags,chocolate bars,chips,a pez despencer,and gum of all flavours.Haloween was awsome!

The other day a man came to our school for a presentation. He taught us that we can make a diference.He also told us that we should help other people. Bad news! My cat Sire died. First, he got sick. Second, he ate mouse poison. But, he died by being rammed by my dad's truck. Guess who was driving it?! We buried him in a shoebox that my dog dug back up. It sounds to me like my cat Sire was cursed!

In Grade 2 I really liked the Math because sometimes you have fun games. I also liked the health because I feel safer. I liked the Math the most. It was so much fun and cool!
Grade Three is going to be harder. We will do more Math and Health. I will love it so much! It is going to be cool!

On April Fools Day I pranked my Dad.When he was asleep I snuck into his room I mooved his thum into his mouth!Then I said"Dude your succing your thum!"I did the same thing with Marcus and Mom!Then they glued my dart gun to the floor!Then I gave them a hug!

On the weekend I went to Nick Nacks to by something.I got a candy necklase for my brother.Beleve it or not Marcus wanted it so bad.I also got one for myself.Plus a Jumbo Freeze to share.On Sunday I ate my candy necklase and went back to bed.Then I went to play on my skatebord and I hurt my shin!Then my mom woke up and put a bandaid on my shin.So I went to sleep.
