Taking care of Chicks Last Monday, we got our chicks. There is 150 of them. It is very hard taking care of chicks because you have to water and feed them in the morning, afternoon, and the evening every day until they die. They also can't get overheated or cold or else they die. Also, you need to watch out for chicken hawks and weasles. If you own a dog or cat, then don't let the chickens get out of the pen. It is nearly impossible for you to not step on one in the time they are chicks but don't worry, they sometimes survive your foot. They eat tin ALOT so you should dull their beaks or else the tin can put holes in their stomachs. I love taking care of chicks but sometimes I just say "NO!".
