Work on current video project. Additional video thoughts=size of text on screen must be BIG and color must be BLACK. Not more generally than one sentence!! Spelling and proper grammar are crucial. The title you give a video can influence others to watch or ignore - create a good one. Out of focus images will ruin a video - use only flickrcc. Make sure narration is louder than music. Use only freeplay for music. Hook the viewer - you have 3 seconds to grab attention - DO IT!

Now, watch the video from Monday again. Think about the story you could tell using video + music + narration. Plan your story by drawing on paper the story frames. Hand that in today. Do not ask the time limit - I will not give you one. To get an 'A' you must tell a complete story with an intro, main content, outtro, music throughout, narration, title page, & credits page. Have your peers review your work before you hand it in!! If your video has the listed elements and keeps their attention, it's pretty good. If it has the listed elements and has reviewers watching it again and again - it's really good! If people start humming the musical track - it may be a great video! Videos due on blogs by 5-18-09 3:20pm

Can you list in a post, the elements of a story, namely 1)Intro 2)Main Content 3)Outtro ? Because this is a video story, it also has a musical audio track throughout.

We interpret what we see by the reality we live. Our cultural contexts influence our comprehension of visual images. Discuss on a Visual Literacy Whiteboard how size, settings, color, position, direction, angle, light, body language, & clothing affect how you "read" the photograph. Everyone puts their ideas on the same whiteboard. There are 9 categories. How will you divide up the work?

Complete the Copyright Webquest in groups of three. Every team has a different task. First come, first serve.
The Task
The Police Chief will provide your copyright team with a lead of a possible copyright violation to investigate. You must use the resources available to determine if copyright laws are being followed or not. If there is no violation, you must be able to explain to the Police Chief how the project follows copyright guidelines. You must be able to explain the reason for any potential copyright violations to the student or teacher involved. You will need to have bibliographic citations ready to back up your position. You will also help train your fellow detectives by reading the problem to them and answering any questions they have about the case.
Your evaluation
The Police Chief and his assistant will evaluate your performance based on the the rubric on the webquest site.
We will now read the introduction and the process outloud from The copyright webquest Remember your group is creating a Powerpoint! You have this week. Due by the end of Friday's class.

The point of project learning is not to race through haphazardly in one day but to do quality work over time. We will spend an ENTIRE week working on presentations. Eight will present each day.
After presentations on both days, go to Mr. Osweiler's page, click on the class on the right, choose a student, carefully read their blog, comment on their words with a GREAT comment.
Great Comments:
1.Comments must be positive & constructive.
2.Compare what the post says to something you have seen or done.
4.Leave your screen name and the URL back to your blog.
5. NO personal email address! If it requires one (blogmeister does not) then use mine = mrsdurff@gmail.com
BTW 6 people made comments & will get grade points for those. You all need to write something on your Computer 7 pages - what could you post on your page?
