Terrific Twelves are a class of Year 3 and 4 Kiwis, aged 7 - 9. We are an e-learning class this year, so we will be extending our e-knowledge and skills by using all sorts of software programmes. Blogging is a great way to document our progress, and it also allows us to share our exciting learning globally. Take a look at our learning so far...

Persuasion and Plastics
Term 3 has ended and Terrific Twelves get a well-earned two week holiday. As part of our learning this term, we've looked at the ways you can campaign for a good cause. Persuasion is the key to campaigning, if you can't convince or persuade people to support your cause, you are destined to fail! We've created persuasive posters stating why plastic bags need to be banned.
See what you think... are you persuaded to give up using plastic bags?
What a great idea! I really like your posters. How did you make them? Did you use a certain program? An idea I had that could extend your learning and provide another idea for a poster would be give an alternative use for the plastic bags that are around, or ideas on how to get them out of circulation.

I love teaching year 3 and 4 children. At this age basic skills are developed and we can really get our teeth into some deeper learning. Room 12 are a class of switched on, motivated and enthusiastic learners. In our class, we are learning about the impact humans have on our precious planet and we are committed to taking small and achievable steps to help save earth!
