You never thought much about how they thought the earth was round. I know I didn't. So I will tell you. Erastothenes in Alexandra Egypt Discovered the earth was round by looking down a well. Once a year he would see all the way down the well and on that same day he walked to another town and looked down that well and didn't see the bottom. Which meant that the sun was directly above the well and the well in the other town the sun light was hitting the side of the well which didn't let him see down the well. Did you know that that no one knows what the center of the universe? That is just some of the stuff we have been learning in 7th grade science.
