Planets
The things we have been learning in science is.... the planets in space! Some things we learned was..... that stars don't twinkle! Its the air around the earth that makes it look like the stars twinkle. People use to call planets wondering stars. Planet Venus = evening stars. The big bang theory = explosion of the universe. We have also been talking about tools like.... the sundial, and the sextant which is used to measure the angle of elevation of an object in the sky. Light year = distance that light travels in one year, light speed = fastest thing – 186,000 miles/sec. Our closest star is the sun – sun = 81/3 minutes.
