Covenant Child by Terri Blackstock A story that reminded me of the biblical Prodigal son, this is about twin girls that lost both of their parents at age 2. Their stepmother lost custody of them because their blood grandparents wanted them but only for their inheritance. The stepmother tries desperately to get them back but they have been told terrible untrue stories about her. The girls are treated horribly by their grandparents and get into lots of trouble but the stepmother does not give up on them. It is about the trials and tribulations of growing up under these circumstances and the close relationship between twins.
