Sadness is blue It tastes like stale porridge
and smells like musty, old socks.
It looks like a gloomy, wet day
Igt sounds like the rain falling from the sky.
It feels like a miserable
monster.

Hi Michael,
I am a 4th grade teacher in Iowa, which is a midwest state in the USA. I really enjoyed your poem. You gave a great description of many things that are very gloomy. I think you have a strong understanding of sadness and you have great examples of what represents sadness.
