Graduating! I remember, when I was in first grade, I would look at the fifth graders and sometimes get scared, or admire them. The same thing would happen again and again each year, and now that I'm a fifth grader I wonder if the first, second, third, and fourth graders think the same way about me. I hope that I have been a good role model for them.

And now that our graduation is getting closer, I am getting more excited and sad, happy, of course, and...well...I really can't believe it. I keep remembering how I was when I was in first grade, and all the other grades. And now that I'm soon going to be in sixth grade I'm also getting nervous. How am I supposed to go from class to class, stopping at my locker (if I remember which one is mine!) and getting my books, remembering my locker combination, getting along with all the teachers, and giving in the homework on time?! I really think it's impossible. My mom says that for a month or so, I'll be running all over the place, but then I'd get used to it.

I'm sad because I don't want to leave Elementary school. I'll really miss it. Miss everything about it, all the activities...I know some middle school students and they say that elementary school is much better than middle, and I'm SCARED! I hope it won't be as bad as they say it will.

I'm looking forward to it, of course, but it's also scary.

I CANNOT wait till the graduation! It's really exciting. And plus, all the awards that will come before...I wonder what I'll get!
