 The Missing Painting When he went in his class all his classmates thought he was a weirdo. Ed introduced himself and said:”Hi my name is Ed I like playing sports and solving mysteries”. Then Ed sat took his seat. After school Ed went home home and thought he had a pretty good day at school today. The next day at school, once he came in, his teacher Mrs.Wormwood asks him, don’t you like solving mysterys? He said yes. So she asked if he can team up with a kid called Jack to solve the mystery. He said sure. Ed and Jack went home and what a coincidence Ed and Jack lived across the street. So Jack went to Ed’s house and they were trying to think about what the mystery is about. The next day at school Mrs.Wormwood told Jack and Ed what the mystery was about. The mystery was about a missing painting that was hanging in the principal’s office, and the painting was drawn by the principal when she was seventeen years old. Jack and Ed went asking everyone if they saw someone go in the office. Ed and Jack didn’t ask everyone if he did it or not because they knew that the person they would ask might not say the truth. Then they asked a guy called Joe if he saw someone go in and he said yes I saw the vice principal going in. So the guys rushed over to the vice principals office and said:”good morning Mr. Crump”, he said good morning back to them. They asked him a few questions they asked: did you see the missing painting the principal drew. So he answered yes I saw it so they asked him:”when you went in yesterday did you see it there”? No he said. So Ed and Jack said thank you and they left. When Ed and Jack where walking back in the hallway going back to class Ed told Jack if it wasn’t Mr. Crump then who would it be? I don’t know said Jack, but we have to find out. The next day at school a guy called Alexander asked Ed:”why don’t you ever come to recessed said because I am solving a mystery. You solving a mystery HAHAA you’re a freak said Alexander.Ed just walked away with embarrassment. The next block ED went to Mrs. Wormwood and said “I can’t solve the mystery Jack can do it on his own”. Mrs. Wormwood said OK but it’s your choice. Then Ed started going to recess, the mystery can’t be solved when Jack is alone. So Jack went to Eds house after school and told him why did you quit the mystery I need your help. Ed said I have to go to recess and make friends you are the only friend I have and I just want to fit in. Jack said you will fit in when we solve this mystery I promise. So Ed said OK and the mystery was back on the case. The next day Ed and Jack where back on the case. The boys went to the library and read books on mysteries, from one of the books Ed read it said to stay overnight. So Ed and jack are going to stay overnight they thought maybe they can see someone go in. Ed and Jack hid in the principal’s office at about 10PM.At 10:08 they saw the art teacher going in the principal’s office and looking around. So they now think that the art teacher is the stealer. The next day at school Ed and Jack went to the art class to see the art teacher so they asked” Miss Detoiler:”what where you doing yesterday at the principal’s office??”The art teacher replied I went there to see if the missing painting the principal drew is back.”And why is that” asked the boys. Because it was a beautiful painting and I love art so I wanted to see it, Miss Detoiler replied. When Ed and jack where walking out of the art room jack thought that the art teacher was up to something but he didn’t tell Ed what he thought because they might get into a argument. Later that day Jack told Ed:”Ed I think the art teacher is up to something”. No said Ed she just went to see if the painting is back that’s all Jack couldn’t say anything he didn’t want them to have an argument over this, Later that day Ed asked Jack can we stay in school till 4:30 maybe we can see someone go in the principal’s office? Sure replied jack the boys went home and got some snacks, and then they hid in the waiting room which is right next to the principal’s office. Then the boys saw a big shadow of someone. Then Ed squeezed his head up the desk and saw……the janitor taking the principals trophy of second best principal in America. Stop!!!!Screamed Ed the janitor rushed away and as he was running the trophy slipped of his hand and broke to a hundred pieces. Ed and Jack rushed to Mrs. Wormwood and told her it was the janitor called Will so the boys and Mrs.Wormwood went to the supply closet to look for the janitor called Will. They found him in the supply closet with the painting. The janitor was fired right after Ed and jack knew why he stole the painting because he wanted to sell it for $300.The next day on the PA system the principal said my painting has been found by Ed and jack. Everyone had the wrong first idea of Ed later that day before recess Ed won a medal and in recess he met new people and was one of the most popular people in school.
