 Summer This morning I am going to a tennis camp. You get to have breaks and snack and after the camp everyone gets to go swimming in the pool since the tennis camp is at Crestview Country Club. I am going to have lots of fun at tennis camp because it is for 3 days from 12 to 3 each day. I can't wait until 4th of July because my dad is going to let me shoot off fireworks. The firework stands just opened this morning in Wichita. My dad is going to let me shoot off some of the big stuff this year like the "Artillery Shells" which have 2 sizes but we are getting the big ones this year. I think we might also get the big "Roman Candles". They are cool because they shoot off sparks like 150 feet in the air. This 4th of July is going to be so cool. Ms. SmithJackson My son just went to a golf camp this week. He's only 6 but we're staring him off early. He and I are thinking it's one thing we can do together (among other things). We haven't played with fireworks. . .yet! Thanks for commenting to my class this year!

Mr. BruneHi Jackson, My family lives in Kansas-actually my children, husband and I were in Wichita about a year and a half ago for my niece's wedding. Is it pretty hot and humid there? We have been very hot here in Seattle this week! Have a wonderful time with your family. You are creating good memories! And, do be careful with the fireworks!

Ms. Jankord-SteedmanJackson, You are the man, first to publish for summer. I am looking forward to 4th of July. Make sure you have a bucket of water nearby before shooting fireworks. Have a safe 4th. Nice job. Mrs. Oakes

Cheryl OakesJackson, Great BLOG about some of the activities you’re doing this summer. I’m not a very good golfer but I do love to get out and try my best. When you spoke about golfing in the evenings reminded me of the times I would do the same thing with my father. I felt like the whole course was only open for he and I because everyone else had left. My other favorite pastime in the evenings was to walk around the course looking for golf balls. One evening I found 27, I felt like a treasure hunter. My favorite ball are the ones I call picture balls because they have advertisements on them for businesses or other gold courses. Some of them I still have!!! Have a great summer and say Hi to your family for me especially your brother. Mr. Wilkie
