Wiki, Wiki, WikiThe day that we started our new wiki, we realized that we had a big problem. The children usually work on their wikis and blogs during our “centre time”. One reading group has six children in it, all of whom wanted to work on the wiki at the same time. Since only one person can edit a wiki at a time, the children insisted that the only fair thing was to make enough wikis so that they could all work on one at the same time if they wished. So, we now have six classroom wikis. You can choose to help with our story about hockey, an imaginary airplane ride, soccer, a vacation to New Zealand, car racing or a story about children in grade one. As before, the children have given me a one-sentence beginning, middle and end to the story. The wikis are all linked on the left-hand side of the page. Let’s see what we can create together!
