Sam and Ann’s Adventures
In the morning Sam teased because Ann got the punishment of no riding horses for a month. She was so upset. She cried every day and every night. Until one day when Ma said, “Ann, come here.” Anna stood up and walked to Ma. Ma said, “I want you to have this.” It was a beautiful stone as white as the clouds and as smooth as a rock can be. “Use it for luck,” she said and walked out of the room. Ann put the stone in her pocket and sat in her chair.
