Boston Massacre I was very dissapointed in the Boston Massacre. I did everything in my power to prevent it. The killing of five townsman by the British soldiers was terrible. I wrote to Lord Hillsborough "Boston is pitched into a perfect frenzy, and the Provence as a whole is on the edge of civil war." It is not in my poweer to remove the King's soldiers.
