A.K.'s scientific thinking · What did you observe when the salt and water were combined?
I noticed that the salt dissolved, and the only way you could ever see the salt again is if you let the water evaporate!
· How did the water and the salt change when they were combined in the cup?
The way they changed was you could not see the salt. You could only see the water!

· What have you learned about the properties of salt when you add it to water?
You can’t see the salt.
