Yuletide Sled Ride

Slowly I lumber, over to sled
The world’s so pale; it looks like its dead!
In goes my father, and then I slip in
Then ours ears awake to a terrible din!

My three-year-old cousin, (her name is Claire)
She soon is crying, this isn’t fair
Soon she plops in, she wants to go too!
But she is my cousin! Can I tell her “shoo”?

With a glance to my dad, I give us some power!
And Claire, oh she does cower
A push of my foot, and off do we fly
And experience the thrill no money can buy

The wind in my face, the snow all around
For the bottom of hill, we are definitely bound!
We slide to the end of our glorious ride
What a fun little trip, to celebrate yuletide!

I think that you did a really good job of rhyming, but there was only one word that really jumped out at me, yuletide, so I think some more word choice would be good.
