Joe Flood's Visit!

For the past four days the 7th graders have had the chance to meet and learn from a man named Joe Flood. Joe Flood was an alcoholic and a drug user from an early age. Even though his life wasn’t the most wonderful he turned it around by teaching kids about his life and how it affected him. His main point was to make you aware of what drugs do to you and how it affects your whole life. He didn’t say don’t do drugs he just kind of made us not want to do them because of what he told us about other students and their stories.

Well I learned that drugs do a lot more then you think that they do. For example, they mess with your brain making you more accustomed to drugs so every time you do them you need more and more to make you feel the same feeling as the first time you had a single one. So Joe taught me that drugs do so much more than just make you high and he also taught me that I never want to do drugs at all and how to withstand peer pressure and the temptation of drugs!
