I was outside one night, when a shooting star came whizzing by. Should I make a wish? I grasped at the chance, closed my eyes, and wished upon that star. As soon as I opened my eyes, I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up because I now had a magic wand in my very own hand. I could change anything I wanted in the world. I couldn’t believe it! I figured the school would be just the place to use this magic for laptops, lockers, and materials of course! Guess what else? I didn’t just walk or take my bike to school, I flew there! When I arrived, I turned the wand admiringly and in small letters it said that this magic could only be used for a day. I thought to myself I better get working.
Computers are great! So why not use them all the time? We could each get our very own laptops, but they would never leave school. All of us could have very thin cubbies, only to fit our laptops and our laptop chargers, and it could be right in the classroom. We are all working on writing on writing this year, so we could blog many times on the laptops we have.
Furthermore, I would change the classroom by adding small lockers. The taller children could have the lockers on the top, and the smaller children could have the lockers on the bottom. This way, so many students backpacks won’t get stepped on or get pushed in so much they get stuck and belongings get flat. We could all avoid disappointment this way. Plus we could add a little closet to fit our instruments.
In addition, I am planning on doing something with the science materials. I have noticed that taking out the science materials have been taking much of our time. So I’ve been thinking, how about a small hidden cabinet built into the wall that holds everything we need? It can be in the back of the in back of the classroom and in there can be containers to hold the small materials. This can save time for our science period.
Oh no! It’s almost 6:00am! I only have a few minutes to do a magical makeover to this room. Ummm, Swoosh! Glad that that’s over! I wonder what a surprise the teachers will get, when they walk into this room. Happy I guess……very happy.
