 Where I Am From Where I am From I am from a place full Of joy and laughter, From a place full of electronics I am from birds whistling in the early morning From my mom screaming to wake me up “yalla get up”. From traffic jams before arriving to school. I am from peaceful music in the morning while reading in class From writing “I am from poems” From teachers dissecting hearts, From movies 24/7 before and after school. Where are you from?
