I just finished reading the book Lovely Bones and I really liked it.  It was about a teenaged girl named Susie, who is raped and murdered, by a neighbour named Mr. Harvey, in the middle of a cornfield.  She goes up to heaven, where she can look down at all the people still living on earth.  Her family meanwhile is struggling to live without her. Her mom is on the verge of leaving and cannot even think about her daughter and starts to have an affair with the detective in charge of their case.  Her dad is convinced that Mr. Harvey killed his daughter, even though he did and when he tells the police cannot find anything suspicious. Lindsay, Susie’s 13 year old sister, is being very brave and her 3 year old brother is trying to figure out where Susie went, without knowing the meaning of death. It is a very sad book, but I really liked it. I would recommend.
