The Inner Planets DID YOU KNOW….. That Mercury is the smallest planet. It is the fastest orbiting planet because it is so close to the Sun. Mercury is covered in craters made form asteroids coming to the sun but missing the sun and hitting Mercury. Now wouldn’t you rather live on a planet named after the goddess of beauty? Well I wouldn’t, it is the hottest planet with a high temperature of 891*F. Talk about global warming, Venus’s atmosphere is so thick not even the sun’s rays can get through. And if it can’t get any weirder it spins backwards. It is called Earth’s twin because they are around the same size and mass. Earth spins very fast compared to Venus and Mercury. The Earth is mostly covered in water making live the only planet that we know of to have LIFE!!! We are the only planet able to have water in all three phases. We believe that there could have or still is live on Mars. USA sent a recent rocket named the phoenix to find out if there could be Martians or mars. Mars is named after the god of war for its color blood red. So I wonder what would happen if Mars got angry??????So let’s continue are research and expand our minds even further and push the limits of impossible=http://=http://!!
