Biography!~
I’m doing my biography on Dorothea Lang’e. Dorothea was born in Hoboken, New Jersey. Dorothea started her career in New York, and then went to Sanfrancisco where she opened a portrait store in 1918. With the Great Depression going on she turned her camera from the studio to the streets. Dorothea was educated in photography in a class taught by Clarence H. White. In 1920 she married Maynard Dixon and had two sons: Daniel born in 1925, and John born in 1928. In 1935, she divorced Dixon and married Paul Schuster Taylor. After many successful years Dorothea Lang’e died on October 11, 1965. I loved learning about Dorothea Lang’e, and I hope to learn more about her in the future.
