The students took part in a worldwide Pre-K through Sixth Grade Technology Project that incorporated squares, circles, and triangles. We used KidPix, a graphic computer program, and created square, circle, and triangle pieces of artwork. All of the shapes had to be true to shape. A circle couldn't be an oval, and a square couldn't be a rectangle. Shapes were not to be combined to make a different shape such as a rhombus or trapezoid. The kids used two keys, CTRL and SHIFT, to make sure the shapes didn't get distorted when they were added to their artwork. However, two squares could be put together to make a rectangle as long as the two squares were visible. After the projects were completed, they were uploaded to an online photo storage location. Some classes chose to make paper collages or take digital pictures of shapes found around their school. Enjoy the students' creativity!

Thank you for your postive comments on our blog. We are wondering how you prononce your surname Mrs Goneau?
Can you tell us please?

Your Smilebox slideshow is fantastic! I really liked the houses.
Next Tuesday is going to be the Jump Jam Show. Our parents are coming to watch. It's going to be exciting.
