Wagons West Ends Our simulation game Wagons West is now over. My group made it to Hacker Valley but unfortunately 2 groups didn't. Some hardships along the way to Hacker Valley was we had to lighten our wagon weight so we could cross the different terrain that we encountered. Also we were running out of water and there was a water hole was ahead but because of a drought we had to decide if we wanted to pay for the normally free that is now $20. The water hole was guarded so my group decided to attack the guards and steal the water. We were successful in doing so. Later on during the journey people got sick and also got bitten by snakes. Also we had to make a decision between 2 trails. The Burial Grounds trail, and the Cheyenne River Trail. My group chose the Burial Grounds trail. On the Burial Grounds trail we encountered angry Native Americans and they attacked our wagon train but luckily no one got hurt. Our group’s next decision was between the Long trail, Salt Flats trail, and Massacre Canyon trail. We chose the long trail, even though it was a little long it was good because there is a better chance of not getting hurt. At the end of our journey we settled down in Hackers Valley to begin our new life.

Hi Frank thanks for the comment. It was really nice. Well the thing that I liked more was building the habitat wich was made out of plastic. Anyway nice blog post!!

I thought that this wagons west project that your class did was a really cool way to explore and learn about pioneers, instead of just reading facts in a book. I was wondering if you (or anyone else in your class who reads this) would write about what they felt they were able to learn about better through this game than through regular studying.

Hi Frank,
I like your story I think you did a nice job. Why did your group choose the Burial grounds and not the Cheyenne river?
