The Story of Stuff
We watched a movie in class today called "The Story of Stuff". The movie dicusses the problems associated with the products we purchase.
What problem do you find most important? Why do you think it is important over the other problems created by stuff?
How can you become part of the solution? What choices can you make as a consumer? Do you think it is important to tell other people about these problems, why?
Also watch this video by Greenpeace. What part of the story of stuff does this fit into? I'm interested in hearing your reaction to it.

That video is a real eye opener to me by the way my name is Austin and I live in Oregon. Has every one in your class seen that video?

Hi Sean. I was looking at some blogs and I saw yours and I thought it was an interesting topic. First, of all I thought that your blog was well thought out. I also thought that the video that Greenpeace made about forests I thought was very cool. I had no idea that people used palm oil from trees just to make a soap. I think that it’s ridiculous that people are chopping down so many rain forests just to get materials that really aren’t necessary. I think that if we must cut down trees from forests we at least should plant a seed for every tree we cut.

Hi
Some of the main problems with "stuff" is the amount of garbage and the wasting of money. participating in the 2008 comment challenge.

Wow, this is an extremely inspirational video. I use dove products a lot but I think that this video just converted me. I am glad that you showed me this because I would probably still be using dove products today. People in the world need to find more things like this to make the world a better place by showing them what really happens.
