The Molasses Flood Back in the 1800s a big container of molasses that had thousands of gallons of molasses came in a barge to Boston and on the way the container exploded and 7 feet of molasses flooded some of Boston. It broke a lot of windows and if you go to Boston today you can still smell a little of molasses.
