Comparing Capacity
Who wouldn't like a chance to play around with and pour these beads? When the students did today, they were actually trying to find out which of their two containers held the most. This video was filmed by Nate.
I would love to jump in all of those beads! What colours are the beads? What a fun way to learn!

Those beads look like so much fun! Mrs. Kassidy, I have a question for you. I have been attempting to post a picture of the Earth that I made for Nicholas in my comments to him, however I cannot seem to make it work! Do you know of a way to add pictures that are not from Sketchcast or KidPix into comments? Thanks!

Hi Mrs Cassidy's Class,
I think the first one can hold more than the second one.

Hi Mrs Cassidy and Grade 1,
We'd love to be in your class so we could play with all those beads. We think Zero the Hero would love your room too. There must be millions of beads in that tub!

WOW! We are doing the same lessons in our class! Our table is filled with rice rather than beads. I wonder if your containers would hold more rice or beads? Hmmm....?? Which of your containers holds the most? Which one holds the least of them all? Which ones hold equal amounts? Isn't measuring with containers fun?
