 Lance Mackey Lance Mackey was born and was raised in Alaska. He is the #1 champion of the 2007 Iditarod dog sled race. His dad Dick Mackey won the 1978 Iditarod race also. His older Ron Mackey as won the 1983. They both had the bib #13. Last year Lance got the chance to have the bib #13 also just has he had planned. He and his wife Tonya have 4 kids all of them in there teens.
