I think that Christy should convince her parents that she is responsible enough to handle being a mile away without them being there with her by giving her parents examples of how she is responsible like saying "I have alot of responibilities that I take care of every day like cleaning my room and making my bed." Then if her parents say yes, she can go to the park with her friends!!
