Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Video As Martin Luther King, Jr birthday approaches, I thought I would embed this video from the soundtrack of the movie "The Freedom Writers". The video is called "A Dream" and is performed by Common. The movie was very powerful and the video/lyrics were inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. For historical reference, I have also included Martin Luther King, Jr's original "I have a Dream" speech. Enjoy

I wonder if the youth of today are as engaged as the youth from this period. How many of you Maine 12th graders are registered and ready to vote?? I hope you all honor Dr. King by being engaged in the political process, especially this year! Is your town a Democratic, Republican, or Independent town?
