On My Mind Today June 5, 2007

On my mind today is my grandma. She is visiting the class today. She is my mom's mom, but I think she comes from Oahu. I think but she is very nice. But she is also an expert on sewing and planting too.

I am also thinking about the reading thing, I have read 2 books. I have read Dandy and the Dinosaur and Pocahontas they are both good stories, I think… But anyways I hope I read 16 or even 100 books! Over the summer. But that will be hard I think well I’m hoping I can read at least 20 books!

Hi Casey. I came across your blog from your teacher's blog. I teach 3rd grade in Ohio and was looking for new ideas. WOW! I am so impressed with your blog and your classmates'blogs. Keep up the writing. I may have to do something with this in my classroom, too! Have a great summer - Mrs. Clark

Hi Casey,

Isn't it nice that your grandma could visit your class and that you can get expert advice from her on planting and sewing!?

I always read more in the summer. I wonder, do you think it might be because I can read outside? Where do you read?

I'm thinking that your reaching your goal, even though it may be hard, will mean you'll have hours of fun reading! Go for it!

Best wishes,
Lani

Summer is my favourite time for reading books. I hope you make your goal, but even more importantly, I hope you LOVE the books you read.
