IN SPAIN
On Feb 18 2007 I went with my mom, dad, and sister to the airport. We were going to Spain in the Canary islands. My cousins were there for the entire month. We took three planes to get there from Seattle to Spain. When we got there it was really different from Seattle. But the fun part was going to the carnival. The carnival had really great rides. I went on two rides. One was Raton Vacation (Rat Vacation). A roller coaster that goes up, down, and spins in a circle. The next ride was well I don't know what name was but it went up and down. That ride made my stomach tickle. First it went forward while going up and down and then it went up and down backwards. The one I loved most was Ratone vacation. I love it because roller coasters are my favorite rides ever. I also went swimming in the ocean. It was cold at first then it was fine. I got to swim to a big reef with my cousin Mikael. Mikael dove off and I jumped off feet first. I went to a parade that was really fun. It went on all night. Then I went to my cousin's dance class. I also had fun there. Then after a couple of days we had to go home on three airplanes . Then my mom dad and sister were back home in March.

Hi Isobel!
It sure sounds as if you had a great time in Spain! A roller coaster that goes backward AND forward? Wow...I've never seen one of those. It sounds like fun.
Did your cousins go to Spain WITH you or do they LIVE there? I have a cousin who wanted to learn the Spanish language so he just moved to Spain one year (he's an adult)
and learned Spanish by living there. Now he's an interpreter for the courts in Seattle.
What an adventure you had. I'm glad you're back, though.

Hi Isobel,
Welcome back to your blog! Wow, your vacation sounds just fantastic. The Canary Islands sound really cool. I'm wondering, what kind of food did you eat there? Did you go to McDonalds - or was it a little different... :) ?
Your third grade teacher,
Mr. A.
