Read, Read, ReadSometimes I think that primary teachers sound like a broken record. (You know, that OLD technology.) Read, read, read. At the risk of being too repetitive, I need to talk about it again. While I was away, the resource teacher was doing some benchmarking of the children in my class to check their reading levels. I was very happy with the progress of all the children, but the children whom I know are regularly reading at home did especially well. While there is really is no substitute for consistent practice of any skill, and this is especially true of reading. Keep up the good work, parents!
