Blog #3: Easing the burden of voter registration Now that nearly all of you are registered to vote (or will be after the first of the new year), what do you think about the process? Some states allow voters to register right up to and including election day. In New York, the deadline this year is October 9, nearly a month before election day. Should citizens be required to register in order to vote? Should it be done for you, automatically by the government? Or, should it just not be necessary, as in North Dakota?
