Starting a New School Year

So many teachers, principals, and parents have quotes of advice for starting a new school year. Here at Cold Spring our motto for the new year is "Be more than just ok!" We want to extend ourselves and do more than what is required.

Do you have a favorite quote or saying to share? Why do you think your quote is important? What is the message it gives?

Thanks for helping us own our learning as we begin the new school year.

I have heard, "You can become anything that you wish to become." But I think the important thing is to set the right goals. Then take babysteps towards that goal.

It's up to you to train your brain:

Ask lots of questions ~ Curiosity expands your brain.
Read lots of books ~ Reading feeds your brain.
Take lots of risks ~ Trying new things excites your brain.

I like to start off everyday by saying "Learn from mistakes, and move on".

Your teacher asked for a quote, but we, of room 15 in Medford,NJ, are sharing all our quotes from September. Maybe one will make a difference to you. Have a great month!

September 7: The only way to finish is to start.
September 10: BElieve in YOUrself
September 11: If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.
September 12: What have you done today to make you feel proud?
September 13: Make yourself proud.
September 17: Winning doesn’t always mean being first; winning means you’re doing it better than you’ve done it before.
September 18: Challenge yourself.
September 19 Forget mistakes.Forget failure.Forget everything except what you’re going to do now and DO IT.
September 20 Determination today leads to success tomorrow.
September 22 The few who do are the envy of the many who only watch.
September 25: You don’t have to be perfect in order to be successful.

September 27 The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little EXTRA.
