Creating and Editing YOUR Blog

Welcome! The first assignment will be to personalize your BLOG. Change the background, add a picture. To change you background or to add a picture follow these instructions. When you signed in you should have been signed into the Edit Mode. In this mode you will be able to make changes to your blog’s appearance. At the top of the page you will see the word Template with arrows on each side. Click the arrows to view different templates. Once you find one you like, click ‘Select.’ Go to ‘Control Panel' to write the about you and/or add an image. (NOTE: some pictures may not transfer due to file size or other issues.) Remember this is a PUBLIC domain and what you write will be read by others. Another important note: ALWAYS write and save your article in Word, or any other word processing program, before you post. Cut and paste your work from Word to the blog, this way you will not lose it on the blog. For your first assignment read the Conditions of use. Create an article in your BLOG that you have read the Conditions and will agree to the conditions. To create an article, first click on the “Articles” button in the Edit Mode. Next, type in the title, paste the article from Word, and select the assignment you are replying to from the drop down menu. Finally, click the “Publish” box and hit save. This will send the article to me for approval. Once the article is approved it will appear on your blog. Enjoy and happy posting!

Hello 8 Yellow! I am Mr. Cloutier. I have been teaching at Middlebrook since 2002. This will be my fourth year on 8Y. Currently, I am back in school. I am studying for my Doctorate in Educational Leadership and scheduled to earn my degree in 2012. It took a bit longer- but I did defend my dissertation in the spring of 2013! This year I am once again looking forward to reading your comments and commentary on the blog.
