 Titanic Facts: "Ship of Dreams" "the Unsinkable" built it 1909 - took 2 years to build. Accommodating approximately 2300 people; 3rd class which accommodated 700 people had only 2 bathrooms; 7 lifeboats on board with a capacity of 65 yet only carried 24 to a meager 7 people in time of tragedy. Over 1500 people died that April 14 1912 (other reports state 1600) off the coast of Canada. You can visit the historical event remains in the museum of Halifax in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada.
