1-Catherine tells David that when he wants to leave a situation he should check his watch and say, \\\"Sorry gotta go!\\\"
2-When I want to respectfully leave a situation quickly I would say, \\\"Pardon me, but I have to leave!\\\"

Catherine\\\'s rule for David was to check his watch and say \\\"Sorry, gotta go!\\\"

If I were in the situation, my rule would be to say \\\"I have to leave, catch you later!\\\"
