I think Catherine feels really annoyed because her brother was acting crazy an he didn\\\'t want to listen to Catherine. She was also feeling happy because she going to have a new best friend moving next door.

In the book Rules when Catherine saw the moving van she said her stomach flipped and her hands were trembling as she zipped her backpack. From the clues in the book I can tell Catherine felt afraid or nervous. She might of been afraid or nervous because her brother, David, might do something embarrassing.

Catherine feels happy and excited because her best friend named Melissa moved to California and she wants to have a friend outside her family and for once not have to worry about her brother. she also feels this way because Catherine feels she needs a best friend in her life as child / young girl.

Catherine feels happy because she could have someone to play with and have sleepovers with. Also she doesn\'t have to take her brother with her to her friends house

Catherine feels kind of happy because she is going to have a new neighbor because her best friend went California and she has no one to play with but she seems to find out that a 12 year old girl is moving in next door so is basically overwhelmed that she doesn\\\'t have to spend to rest of the summer with her autistic brother.
