Dirty Soccer Ball By: Katie Inside the dirty soccer ball, a teardrop of rain Inside the teardrop of rain, a flat plain of wet grass Inside the flat plain of wet grass, the shiny clear green Inside the shiny clear green, the legs of a running cheetah Inside the legs of a running cheetah, a flash of excitement Inside the flash of excitement, the dirty soccer ball Soccer Fun, Competitive Tiring, Running, Scoring Passing to your teammates Futbol Ms. Halbert Funny, Nice Playing, Teaching, Talking Likes teaching people things Teacher Cupcakes Yummy, soothing Eating, Chomping, Swallowing Comes in different flavors Cupcakes Dad Funny, Playful Playing, Working, Talking Playing with kids too John Mom Nice, Watchful Yelling, Napping, Screaming Helping out every day Dawn If I ruled the world, I’d cancel reading, Weekday mornings and also, Homework If I ruled the world, Everything would be free for me, Ice cream would be breakfast, lunch, and dinner and, School would be 6 hours shorter If I ruled the world, There would be no showers, You would have no bedtimes and, There wouldn’t be any rain If I ruled the world, The mall that you are closest to would be your home, Junk food would be the new fruit and vegetables, All of the things that I want would be mine And all sports players and junk food lovers could still be in charge of the world.
