Cockroaches facts I learned that The madagascar cockroaches can live up to 5 years. They are known as hissing cockroaches because They are capable of breathing through their pores. There hiss comes in 3 forms. They have the disturbance hiss, the female-attracting hiss and the fighting hiss. Also, the hissing cockroaches are wingless. They can grow up to 5-7.5 inches long and they are ugly.
