We had two visitors in our class on Monday afternoon. They were Sanders, the burrowing owl, and Lori, the handler. Burrowing owls are an endangered species. Sanders is an ambassador owl who visits classrooms around Saskatchewan to teach children about burrowing owls and why it is important to help protect endangered species.
That is a beautiful owl. You were so lucky to have it visit you. I can see you are wearing your summer clothes so it must nearly vacation time for you. I have enjoyed checking your blog and seeing what you have been learning this year. I noticed some of you have grown really tall. Where will Chester be going for the long summer holiday? Perky is still having sleep overs with the class. They are getting their second turn with perky. See ya Mrs B
