Summmmerrrrrr2012
Tan, beach, flip-flops, Daisy Duke Shorts, tank tops, softball, dirt lines, sun highlights, and shooting stars. Do these words make anything come to your mind? Something comes to my mind when I hear those words…SUMMER!
Tan- the first initial sign of summer. This is the thing that indicates summer is coming because during softball season, at the end of the year, I get a tan from playing outside on the field. This is also a unique indicator of summer because I always have an un-even tan from my glove hand compared to my throwing hand.
Flip-flops- the second sign that summer is here. You don’t wear flip-flops when it’s cold because your toes will get cold, but during the summer you can paint your toenails cute, and also get flip-flop lines from your tan.
Daisy Duke Shorts and tank tops- clothes you wear during the summer because their cute, comfortable and summer appropriate.
Dirt lines- If you’re playing softball in the summer, you will get dirt lines from not only sliding in the field, but also from running because of all the dirt. Dirt lines indicate summer because it begins in the middle of softball season.
Sun highlights- when your hair gets lighter because the sun bleaches your hair which causes highlights.
Shooting stars- memories from late nights of summer. During summer you lay out in the yard, or on the roof with a friend, or boyfriend and look for shooting stars. This is both exciting and romantic at times. I love doing this because you can relax and have fun at the same time.
Is there anything that comes to your mind when you hear the word summer? Do you have any favorite memories from summer that would remind you of the past? If so… comment and let me know!

Linsey, summer's hot weather has arrived. Water remindes me of summer because every second I'm not working I'm in a pool or creek.
