 Babe Ruth Babe Ruth’s real name is George Herman Ruth. He was born February 6, 1895 and died August 16, 1948. His nicknames are “babe Ruth” and “the bambino” and “the sultan of swat” babe Ruth set both pitching and hitting records! He became 1 of the five baseball players to be in the national baseball hall of fame did you know he was the first player to 60 home runs in one session! Also babe Ruth had 714 home runs altogether wow that’s amazing! Babe Ruth has been named the best player of all time! His batting average is .342 his hitting average is 2,873 his average home runs is 714.
