Not Good Enough for Truth and Cliche

How you ever sat down and thought how a lot of songs have lyrics about Romeo and Juliet. How about when you listen to a song and it doesn’t use either Romeo or Juliet in it but they’re singing about the concept of Romeo and Juliet.  In the song “Not Good Enough for Truth and Cliché” by Escape the Fate they use lyrics that have to do with Romeo and Juliet. In this blog I am going to explain them.

In the lyrics of “Not Good Enough for Truth and Cliché” by Escape the Fate Ronnie the lead singer sings “Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette, finger on the trigger for my dear Juliet, out from the window see her back drop silhouette, there’s blood on my hands it’s something I cannot forget.” What these lyrics mean is Ronnie the lead singer is sitting in a room thinking of how if he can never see his girlfriend (Juliet) again he will kill himself.

This song does a great job depicting Romeo and Juliet. It depicts Romeo and Juliet well because he is basically describing how Romeo felt when he couldn’t see Juliet anymore like the suicidal thoughts, sadness, and anger. Listening to this song you can tell how depressed he is that he can’t see the one he loves.

In conclusion the song “Not Good Enough for Truth and Cliché” by Escape the Fate is a great song that has to do with Romeo and Juliet. When you get a chance you should really take the time to listen to it. I promise you, you will enjoy it.
